NUTRITION PROGRAM
The Story Behind the Nutrition Program

The Nutrition Program at Nakaseeta School began in May 2018. Christina first visited Uganda in 2015 and returned in 2017, where she met John Joseph Mutegeki, Director of Nakaseeta Foundation Primary Christian School. They saw a serious need—many children received only one small meal of porridge at school, often their only meal of the day.
Realizing that $500 per month could provide two daily meals (porridge and a traditional dish of posho and beans) for all 225 children, Christina co-founded Hope Restored Christian Ministries to secure funding. The program launched in May 2018, ensuring two daily meals for all students and staff. Over time, the cost rose to $600/month, but support grew to over 400 children and staff.
This initiative continues to provide essential nourishment, ensuring children can learn and grow healthily.

“We are so thankful for Hope Restored. The children can concentrate in class now that they’re not hungry. They are much more healthy now.
