A Blessed Journey to Uganda
We had such a blessed trip to Uganda this year! It was a time filled with joy, friendship, and seeing God’s hand at work. We were able to reconnect with old friends and make new ones, witnessing firsthand how the support of so many has truly transformed the lives of the children in Nakaseeta. The ripple effects of this love reach far beyond the school—strengthening families and uplifting the entire community through God’s grace and the generosity of His people.
This year’s mission team included myself, Phillip (my second trip), along with my dear friends Christy (Co-Founder) and her son Brandon, both experienced travelers to Uganda. Much of our time was spent visiting secondary schools, where many students are blessed to attend thanks to their sponsors. A monthly gift of $35(Primary School) or $50 (Seconday School) provides tuition, boarding, and meals—offering each child a safe and nurturing environment to learn and grow. After completing secondary school, these students have the opportunity to take the next big step into University, fulfilling their dreams and opening doors to a brighter future filled with possibilities.
These young students are filled with gratitude and hope for their future. Many dream of becoming doctors, nurses, engineers, and agricultural leaders—proof that when faith and opportunity meet, entire generations are changed.
Teaching to Fish — Empowering for a Lifetime
You may have heard the saying: “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” This saying beautifully reflects a biblical truth—empowerment through love and service.
At Hope Restored Christian Ministries, we believe lasting transformation comes when people are equipped with the tools, knowledge, and faith to thrive. Our ongoing work in Uganda—through healthcare, nutrition, education, and vocational training—is not only about meeting immediate needs, but helping communities build lasting independence, dignity, and hope.
Honoring a Dear Friend — Mildred

One of the most meaningful moments of our trip was honoring the life of a dear friend whose heart overflowed with generosity and the love of Christ for the people of Uganda. Mildred’s selfless service touched countless lives, and her compassion continues to inspire us all. Though she has gone to be with the Lord, she will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Fulfilling her final wish, we traveled to Jinja, Uganda, and spread her ashes at the Source of the Nile River. Surrounded by still waters and quiet reflection, we took a moment of silence to remember her heart, her faith, and her love for the people of Uganda.
We also planted a mango tree at Nakaseeta School in her honor and memory—a living symbol of Mildred’s deep love and lasting support for the children and community of Nakaseeta. Thank you to our dear friend Donna for donating the funds for the tree. Mildred often spoke with joy about her cherished memories from her time visiting Uganda, and it felt only right to leave something growing and vibrant in her name.
Her legacy of compassion continues to inspire us, reminding us that a life lived in service and love leaves roots that endure long after we’re gone.

Fellowship and Celebration

We were also blessed to share a special meal with all the Nakaseeta School Staff, Medical Clinic Staff, and Farm Worder Staff enjoying time of fellowship, laughter, and encouragement.
Another highlight was celebrating John Joseph’s (Co-Founder) birthday—a day filled with joy, gratitude, and fun as we reflected on all that God has done through his faithful leadership.

Exciting Progress — The New Medical & Dental Clinic

We’re thrilled to share exciting news! After the success of our August 2nd Fundraiser, construction began immediately on the new Medical and Dental Clinic in Nakaseeta. By the time we arrived in Uganda, the foundation and most of the walls were already complete—and just recently, we received photos showing that the roof is now finished!
Within the next month, workers will complete the final touches on the clinic. Once finished, the new facility will house medical care, dental services, and eventually prenatal care with ultrasound capabilities for expectant mothers.
This project represents another step in Hope Restored Christian Ministries’ vision of a healthy community—body, mind, and spirit—through Christ’s love.
Nakaseeta School — Growing Stronger Every Year

The school continues to grow—now serving nearly 500 children! During our visit, we witnessed students thriving with joy, energy, and gratitude. Their joyful smiles are a powerful reminder of God’s faithfulness.
We joined the school for a beautiful church service, followed by music, singing, and dancing from the teachers and children. At day’s end, the community gathered to thank us personally—with hugs, tears, and heartfelt gifts. It was a moment of deep connection and gratitude that reminded us once again that we are one family in Christ.

Though the time always feels too short, our hearts are full. We look forward to returning again—and again—continuing this incredible journey together.

Prayer Request — Pastor Alex’s Recovery

Our dear friend Pastor Alex and his wife were recently victims of a robbery, during which Pastor Alex was severely injured and required multiple surgeries. By God’s mercy, his life was spared, and he continues to heal.
He has now been discharged from the hospital and is recovering at home, slowly regaining his strength and speech. His surgery was successful, but he continues regular medical reviews as part of his recovery process.
John Joseph shared that around $1,300 has already been spent on medical expenses, covered in part by generous friends. Any additional support would be a tremendous blessing as Pastor Alex continues treatment.
I have started a GoFundMe account and here is the direct link… https://gofund.me/567ccc324
Thank you for your prayers, love, and support. Please continue lifting Pastor Alex and his wife in prayer as God restores his health fully.

Growing Together in God’s Goodness
We’re thrilled to share that 73 children are now sponsored through Hope Restored Christian Ministries! Praise God—He is so good! Each sponsorship represents a story of hope, a future transformed, and a community strengthened through faith and love.

Our goal is to continue growing a caring community of supporters and volunteers so that every child in Nakaseeta can receive the education, nourishment, and love they deserve. Together, we are building brighter futures—one child, one act of kindness, and one prayer at a time.
